Letting of unit 1 at Blackwood Business Park (RNS)

Hawtin PLC ("Hawtin” or “the Company") announces the signing of a ten year lease with Plastics Sorting Company Ltd who have taken 91,500 sq feet at the Blackwood Business Park in Gwent, South Wales.

The letting follows the award of grants totalling £820,000 by the Welsh Assembly government to develop a 20,000 tonnes a year capacity recycling plant for plastic bottles.

Hawtin was advised in this transaction by Richard Hayward Properties, Cooke and Arkwright and DTZ in Cardiff.

Hawtin continues to work hard to let its remaining vacant space and will be announcing more lettings in the near future. The Company commented in its interim report that void space amounted to some 41% of the total portfolio. This has now fallen to 28%.
